Math:
1st Grade- Chapter 9 Test, Chapter 10 Measurement and Probability, Length, Inches, Foot/Feet, Centimeters, Perimeter
2nd Grade- Chapter 9 Test on Monday, Introduce Chapter 10- Numbers to 1,000, Count Sets grouped in Hundreds, Tens and Ones, Read and Write three-digit numbers using expanded form, standard form, and number words, add and subtract multiples of 10 or 100 to and from a three-digit number without regrouping.
Phonics:
Mrs. Matejek’s Group- Review VCe and adding –ing, Spelling Test and Chapter 21 Test, Unit 22, VCV Cutting Patterns, Weekly Sounds and Words Test, More Cutting Patterns
Mrs. Wolfe’s Group- VV Syllable Division Patterns, Units 24 and 25 Tests, Schwa symbol and Sound
Mrs. London’s Group- ch /sh/, Unit 40 Test on Tuesday, Introduce Unit 44 Silent Letter Combinations (kn, wr, mn, mb), Red-Word Test Numbers 1-48 on Thursday (new words: enough, through, sugar, busy).
Language- Using comparisons in writing, incorporating new vocabulary words into writing and other vocabulary activities, read Marti and the Mango and focus on sequencing, words that tell when, and words that describe.
A note is coming home on Monday about the Summer Skills Workbook. If you are interested, you may order them. Permission forms will be coming home this week for a field trip so look for them and send them back.
